RL is a graduate of Harvard College. At Harvard, RL was an SAT tutor, researcher, fact-checker, peer counselor, and marathon runner. RL worked as a line cook for one day, and a barista for three before realizing that RL really just loves teaching. RL completed their masters (MFA) in creative writing; fiction is forthcoming most recently in the Chicago Quarterly Review and Nat. Brut.
RL has worked as a research assistant at Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study and has been teaching SAT prep courses for five years. RL‘s favorite subject to teach is college writing: nothing makes RL happier than seeing students reach new goals and milestones, particularly with essay writing. RL taught creative writing, expository writing, and writing for engineers at the University of Florida.
When RL isn’t teaching, RL is probably writing, reading contemporary fiction, taking cat pictures, or catching up on Broad City.
