Emma is a graduate of Bard College and the University of Florida’s MFA program in creative writing. At Bard, she won several awards for academic and creative writing, and her senior thesis received honors. She has worked as an editor, copywriter, and copyeditor. A teacher of fiction workshops, composition, and literature, she is deeply passionate about helping students grow toward their potential as writers and thinkers.
Emma’s short stories and interviews—and a fake advice column or two—have been published in many literary journals including Conjunctions, Subtropics, Joyland, Painted Bride Quarterly, and Wigleaf. Originally from New York City, she lives in Hudson, NY with her husband and their two sweet and mischievous dogs.
